Welcome to our Blog!

Welcome to our, and now your, safe space to express  thoughts and opinions about all matters that affect us as women of color. Here is where we'll touch on current events in our community, women's issues and how they impact us, and cover  some  well known and  local women of color who inspire us to ROAR in our everyday lives.

You will experience ROAR's voice from two unique perspectives:

One such voice is, "HearherBlog", which will feature the musings of a strong woman of color who is passionate about celebrating the very essence of women of color in a world that, at times, fails to give us the credit we deserve. In this blog, we'll explore our history and our future, as well as, a few hard hitting topics close to my heart. My goal is provide a bridge that can unite us as a community of women. My hopes, my SHE-roes, and my truth will be on display here and I hope you will enjoy this love project of mine and that we'll all grow from this experience!

Then there's "Noari's Pride", the youthful viewpoint of our newest and youngest lioness on the ROAR team . For us, Noari is a symbol of creativity,  strength and balance in a world that can often be the opposite. It's about one young black girl sharing  her challenges as she tries to find herself and navigate her way through this journey we call life. We hope her story will inspire and empower young girls going through similar walks  to stand up for their truth, find their crown and know their worth as women of color!

Now I know, and this goes without saying, that we all see, experience and discover this world in different ways. ROAR, by no means, believe that our views about the topics covered in this space are the only ones that exist or matter. This is just our forum to speak candidly and freely based on our own respective truths.

So with that said, we hope you will join us in sharing our stories and thank you for helping us to ROAR!

"Her roar is an exulting cry, for hers is a song of freedom, a lioness riding to the promised land, and she dares to realise all she was created to be"
